Delegation of Marietta College Visited University of International Relations
On April 18, a Marietta College delegation headed by Provost Janet Bland visited UIR. The delegation members included Deputy Provost Mark Miller, Dr. Yi Xiaoxiong and Ms. Han Hua.
President Tao Jian met with the delegation. He expressed his appreciation for the good momentum of development between the two universities in recent years. He stressed the willingness of UIR to further strengthen exchange and cooperation with Marietta College. President Tao pointed out that UIR will continue to provide strong support to the bilateral interaction and actively implement and promote exchange agreements between the two sides. The Marietta College delegation thanked President Tao for the invitation and meeting, and expressed the anticipation to work with UIR to launch more high-level cooperation projects.
UIR Vice President Guo Huimin and Vice President Wu Hui attended the welcome ceremony and held working talks with the guests. Vice President Guo conveyed the cordial greetings of Secretary General Liu Hui to the delegation, and spoke highly of the substantial achievements gained in the academic exchange between the two universities. Vice President Wu pointed out that the long history of the cooperation between UIR and MC has laid a solid foundation for carrying out more extensive exchanges in the future. MC Provost Janet Bland expressed her excitement to visit UIR again and spoke highly of the cooperative results between the two parties. She believed that the bilateral cooperation will continue to benefit both teachers and students of the two universities.
UIR International Exchange and Cooperation Division Director Qi Hongbin and Deputy Director Zhu Cuiwei attended the meetings.
